About
Me
I was born in Virginia and have lived along the Potomac river in the Mount Vernon area for most of my life. I graduated from George Mason University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. I have since gone back to school to learn about GIS (map making), SCUBA, and computer administration from UNIX to Windows. Over the years I have worked as a biologist, surveyor, and computer network administrator. As a biologist, I have identified and surveyed ecosystems specializing in wetland delineation creating maps and illustrated reports. As a computer tech, I've met and provided support to many interesting people.
I enjoy learning about new technology, and got into digital photography from the start. I love taking pictures and traveling, so in October of 2002 I started my first extensive adventure to Australia and New Zealand, where I went scuba diving in some of the world's top dive sites. I was fortunate to meet some very kind people, and learned to spear fish and surf. Making it to the other side really gives you a new perspective on life.
After
returning to America, I fell in love with the mountains, rivers, and
seas of the Mid-Atlantic. I photographed the seasons change between
2003 and 2004 in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, North
Carolina and Tennessee.
I'm
continuing in my adventure and am following my dream to explore the
Rocky Mountains of America's southwest. I am now living in Colorado
and will be photographing surrounding states building assorted collections
of places and people showcasing Colorado’s landscapes, and wildlife.
Recently
I have started to take interest in rock climbing and mountain climbing
adventures. I have built a Mountain Project profile and really enjoy this site's photographic contributions.
